H&m beach sensation summer 2018 campaign



This summer, Standard Bank is continuing its drive to enable ordinary South Africans on to their nexts by helping local hip-hop sensation, Gemini Major, to launch his summer single “Issa Vibe”.

The bank recently held the musician’s single-track launch on the “HappiNext Bus” which saw him being joined by a few select fans and Standard Bank staff members aboard a bus that drove around the streets of Johannesburg with the intention of spreading “HappiNext”.

“HappiNext” is the name of the bank’s new marketing campaign that aims to demonstrate how we as Standard bank enable people’s next during the summer period by tapping into the feeling of summer and proving this to them with products & services that will make it easy to enjoy the season.

“Our campaign is all about making sure that ordinary South Africans enjoy whatever h&m beach sensation summer 2018 campaign they are doing this summer, whether it’s with their friends or family. Standard Bank wants to come along for the journey by enabling these ‘nexts’ through its various products & services and spread HappiNext with everyone on South Africa soil,” said Standard Bank Senior Marketing Manager, Thisile Mtyeku.

“When it comes to our collaboration with Gemini Major, we are always on the lookout for opportunities to dramatize our role of being an enabler of NEXTs, especially the aspirational generation. We have done this many times before since launching our brand campaign in May 2017. With Gemini, our aim is to enable his HappiNext this summer by helping him launch his summer hit track IssaVibe which we have included as the sound of summer in our adverts across digital and radio.” he added.



The Ragga Ragga hitmaker applauded the bank’s efforts and said more corporates need to go the same route as Standard Bank.

“It’s great that Standard Bank is helping us musicians spread our music to the masses. It shows that they don’t only care about banking but also the people that bank with them,” said Gemini Major.

Whether is it is the smell of umagriza’s cooking or a trip to the beach, Happinext is the bank’s summer campaign which aims to spread the summer feeling throughout this summer.
