How to Draw Like a Fashion Designer
Fashion designers have a unique way of drawing. Their models are simple and elegant with most of the detail going into the clothing. Whether it’s for a specific job or just for fun, drawing like a designer can lead to some gorgeous artwork.
To draw like a fashion designer, sketch really tall and thin models for all of your designs. Don't worry about making them look realistic since the focus will be on the fashion designs themselves. You don't even need to include a head or hands if you don't want to! As you're drawing, try to use long, thin, curvey lines. - Look up how to draw fashion models, it improves your designs and looks better. Then, start on your own.
- Try to inspire others. When designing clothes, make it something you would like. Some people will not like it, that's okay, because others will. Think of those who will, it'll make you feel a lot better about yourself.
- First draw a very light line. When you have the ideal outfit make the lines you like darker. Always start with a pencil, you never know when you might make a mistake.
- Think hard about what colors to use. Just choose two-four for the whole outfit. You don't want to ruin your drawing by picking clashing colors.
- If you still can't find anything inspiring, go for a walk. Make your designs about nature. Or if you live in the city, what do you see there. Incorporate these thing in your designs until you can get you imagination flowing.
- Remember not to get stressed out. Fashion designing should be enjoyed!
- If it is necessary go to some where quiet so you can concentrate and when your finish it will be perfect!
