Orangutan Kisses Baby
When an Orangutan Spots a Mom-to-Be's Bump Through Zoo Glass, He Does Something TOO Precious
Parents-to-be Maisie Knight and Jay Clarke recently went to visit the Colchester Zoo in England, and had quite the memorable run-in with one of the resident creatures.
While at the zoo, the couple stopped at the enclosure of Rajang, a male orangutan. Standing in front of it, Knight's 37-weeks-pregnant belly was pressed up against the glass. As can be seen in Clarke's video, it's clear Rajang couldn't take his eyes off the baby bump.
He then leans in closer and kisses the bump, through the glass, two times. The couple is heard laughing in the background at the loving moment that just happened.
Clarke tried to see if the ape would replicate the affectionate gesture, and he pressed his own stomach to the glass. According to the YouTube video description, Rajang wasn't too pleased with Clarke, and apparently gave him a "dirty look." But when Knight put her belly back to the glass, the animal kissed it again. There's no fooling Rajang!
The couple says the sweet interaction "amazed" them.
